Cayman: Police Investigate Armed Robbery in George Town

On Saturday, 25 May, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an armed robbery in a parking lot on Rock Hole Road, George Town. Two persons were at the location when they were approached by an unknown man carrying what appeared to be a firearm. One of the persons fled on foot, however the other person was robbed of a quantity of cash by the man with the firearm, who then fled the location.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being between 5’8″ and 5’10” in height, of dark complexion, and is suspected to be in his late 20s. He was wearing a black hat, black hoodie, black pants and shoes, and a black face covering.
The matter is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
