Cayman: Police investigate Armed Robbery in West Bay

Shortly after 11:00PM Friday, 3 November, officers on patrol on Andresen Road in West Bay, were approached by two members of the public who appeared to have been injured, and who informed the officers that they had just been the victims of a robbery. The victims had just left a residence when two men dressed in black, one of whom was carrying a gun, attacked them. A struggle ensued, during which both victims received head injuries from being struck, possibly with the firearm and another object. The culprits then fled on foot with a quantity of cash and personal items from the victims. No shots were fired during the incident.
The officers conducted preliminary medical treatment on one of the victims, after which emergency services arrived and continued care. Both persons were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries, and subsequently discharged.
