Cayman: Police investigate Armed Robbery on Dorcy Drive
From RCIPS
Shortly after 10:00PM last night, 29 March, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a service station on Dorcy Drive, George Town. It was reported that two men had arrived at the location on a motorcycle. One of the men then made his way into the service station carrying a firearm, fired a single shot upward, and demanded cash. Shortly afterwards, police had cause to stop a car with two occupants, which was travelling in the vicinity of School Road. The vehicle refused instructions to stop immediately and continued off. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle stopped and the two occupants made their escape. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found items that appeared to connect the car to the robbery incident. The vehicle has been recovered to be processed forensically as investigations continue.
The man who entered the service station was described as wearing long blue jeans, a multicoloured long sleeve shirt and had his hands, head and face covered. The second man was also wearing long clothing and had his head and face covered.
