Cayman: Police Investigate Firearm Incident on Eastern Avenue

Just after 3am today4 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of gunshots being fired outside a bar located on Eastern Avenue in George Town.
Firearm officers responded to the location and several spent casings were located and officers were informed that one man was transported to the hospital. The injured man sustained a single gunshot wound resulting in a serious injury.
An investigation is ongoing and and detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward and provide information about this shooting incident. Anyone with information is being encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
