Cayman: Police Investigate Robbery in West Bay,

Shortly before 8:30AM on Saturday, 24 August, police received a report of a robbery which had taken place that same morning after 5:00AM. A woman was standing near the intersection of Neon Close and Mount Pleasant Road, West Bay, when she was approached by two men with their faces covered, who grabbed her and made threats. The men then robbed her of a handbag containing personal belongings and cash before leaving the scene in a silver Honda vehicle. The woman was not injured in the incident.
One of the men is described as being over 6’ tall, the other was short with stocky build. Both men had their faces covered with t-shirts.
The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999.
