Man Charged for Robbery of Bodden Town Gas Station

The man, age 21 of Bodden Town, who was arrested on Saturday, 9 March, after stealing items from a gas station in Bodden Town, has now been formally charged with Robbery and Possession of an Imitation Firearm.
He appears in court today, 12 March.

Police Investigate Robbery Incident in Bodden Town
Just after 8PM on Saturday, 9 March, police responded to the Mostyn’s Gas Station on Bodden Town Road, where it was reported that a robbery that had taken place.
A man wearing a black hoodie entered the store behaving in a threatening manner and stole cash and other items from the store. He then left the location in the direction of the beach. Officers arrived at the location and were informed of the man’s direction of travel. He was followed by the officers on foot, located and subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit a crime. Property stolen from the store was also recovered.
“This was a very good result due to quick thinking and the utilisation of the officer’s police training,” says Detective Superintendent Peter Lansdown, “The officers who attended this report were amongst our youngest in the service and I am proud of their effort. I feel encouraged by the direction in which the service is heading and the talent we are recruiting.”
The man, age 21, of Bodden Town, remains in police custody pending further investigations.
