Cayman: Police Investigate Serious Assault Incident in West Bay

Just before 5:20PM yesterday, Monday, 31 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a serious assault that took place outside of a liquor store in the vicinity of Powell Smith Road, West Bay. It was reported that an alterca4$tion developed between two men at the location, which resulted in one man receiving stab wounds and the other being struck by a glass bottle.
Both men were transported to the Hospital by ambulance, where they were treated. The man who was stabbed is believed to have sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in the hospital where he is receiving further treatment. The second man, a 50-year-old-man of West Bay, also appears to have sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and also remains in hospital.
