From RCIPS

Shortly before 2:00AM this morning, 14 August, officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision involving a black Chevrolet Trax on North Sound Road in the vicinity of the intersection with Shedden Road. The vehicle had been travelling southbound when it collided with a traffic light. The driver of the vehicle was assisted from the vehicle by persons on the location. Emergency services arrived and the driver was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital via ambulance. The man remains in hospital with what appear to be serious injuries and is in stable condition.

The matter is currently under investigation by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have any other information is asked to contact 649-6254.
