UPDATE: Cayman: Police Investigate Serious Collision on Shamrock Road

UPDATE:
Police have finished their investigations at the scene of the incident and have now turned the scene over to CUC.
A concrete pole was completely broken as a result of the collision and CUC personal are now undertaking significant repair work.
CUC traffic control officers are directing traffic at the scene. RCIPS advise motorists to proceed with caution if travelling in the area.
The driver, a man, involved in the collision is deceased.
RCIPS expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

FIRST RELEASE
Early this morning, Saturday 11 November, police responded to a report of a collision on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Grand Harbour.
The incident involved two vehicles. One of the drivers is in critical condition and has been transported to the George Town hospital for treatment.
The road travelling east remains closed so that investigations can be carried out in daylight.
