From RCIPS

Just before 12:14PM, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a single vehicle collision along South Sound Road in the vicinity of the Red Bay Dock. 

Cayman Island Fire Service officers were on scene and have extricated the single occupant of the vehicle, who was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where she is being treated for what appear to be serious injuries. 

The roadway was temporarily blocked as a result of the collision, with officers from RCIPS and CIFS on scene conducting investigations. However, the road has now been re-opened. 

The collision is being investigated by the police.
