Cayman: Police Investigate Street Robbery in George Town

Wednesday morning, 20 February, officers received a report of a robbery which had taken place at about 11:00AM the same day, on School Road in George Town. It was reported that two men had been sitting behind a store in the area when they were approached by a masked man who made threats towards them and demanded cash. The man then lifted his shirt to reveal what appeared to be a firearm, before robbing the other two men of cash and personal items and then fleeing the location on foot heading east.
The suspect is described as being about 5’8”-5’9”, of dark complexion. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark long-sleeved shirt and a black ski mask.
The matter is currently under investigation by George Town CID, and anyone with information is asked to contact 949-4222.
