Cayman: Police Respond to Shooting Incident at Ed Bush Field

Shortly after 9:00PM , Sunday 25 February, police and other emergency services responded to a report of shots fired during a football match at Ed Bush Field, West Bay.
It was reported the first shots were fired just outside the changing rooms.
Seven persons have arrived at George Town Hospital by private vehicles with serious injuries, and are currently in a stable condition.
Police have cordoned the scene, and there is increased police presence in the vicinity including the Firearms Response Unit.
The investigation into this incident is active and on-going. So far there have been no arrests in connection with the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone that witnessed the incident to come forward and provide information. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911 or the West Bay Police Station 949-3999
