Cayman: Police respond to wounding incident in George Town
Shortly after midnight on Sunday 13 August, police and other emergency services responded to a report of an altercation in a parking lot outside a bar on Shedden Road, George Town.
On arrival at the scene, officers observed one man supporting another man who was bleeding from a laceration on his left arm. Officers provided medical aid to the man until the EMS arrived and took over.
While officers were speaking to witnesses at the scene, the man that was supporting the injured man, became aggressive towards officers and was subsequently arrested.
The injured man, was transported to George Town Hospital for treatment, where he underwent surgery on his arm. He is in a stable condition.
Police are investigating the incident and ask for any persons that have information about the incident, particularly regarding the identification of the suspect, to please contact 911, or the George Town CID at 949-4222.
