Cayman: Police Seize Vehicle Believed to be Connected to Shots Fired in George Town

UPDATE:
On Tuesday, 13 February, police carried out investigations into the incident of shots fired in George Town, at 2:00AM the previous morning.
Enquiries were carried out and the vehicle suspected to be involved in the incident was located at a residence in West Bay.
Police seized the vehicle and carried out investigations in the surrounding area, including deployment of the police helicopter, to asses for further evidence, with negative results.
Investigations continue.

13 February:
Just after 2AM on Monday 12 February, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of shots being fired in the George Town area. Officers from the Firearms Response Unit responded and made checks, subsequently they recovered several spent casings, at a location near the junction Eastern Avenue and Shedden Road which caused damage to a nearby building in that area.
A crime scene was established at the location and he scene was processed. The incident is being investigated by the police and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
