Cayman: Postal Service clarifies about Delivery of Collection Notices

The Cayman Islands Postal Service has recently received a number of customer queries regarding printed “Notice of Item for Collection” no longer being sent to post office boxes.

The CIPS wishes to advise customers that a printed “Notice of Item for Collection” is sent to the post office box where the delivery address includes a post office box number.

Additionally, if the sender provided an email or cell phone number, the CIPS will also attempt to notify the addressee by email or text message.

In some cases, the delivery address is not valid and no email or phone number was provided. If such an item has a tracking number, the item is held for at least 30 days to allow the addressee and/or sender who may be tracking it to see from tracking updates that the item is ready for collection.

If a customer is waiting for a package and has not received a printed notice, email or text message, please visit our website www.caymanpost.gov.ky  and use the link to track the item.

Alternatively, please contact us via e-mail at [email protected] and provide your full name, address, country of origin for the item and the tracking number.
