Cayman: RCIPS investigating reports of possible dog poisoning, 11 December
The RCIPS is aware of messages circulating on social media regarding the possible poisoning of dogs in certain areas of West Bay. We are also aware of an incident on 9 December, where three dogs were found to be ill by their owner and were taken for emergency veterinary care, resulting in two of the dogs having to be euthanized. The RCIPS continues to monitor the situation in the district, as we seek to deter any criminal activity and offer advice to pet owners, alongside our colleagues at the Department of Agriculture.
Anyone who has any information about these incidents, or who suspects their animals may have been poisoned, is asked to contact their district police station.
