Yesterday, Thursday 9 December, Freddy Manuel Diaz of West Bay was convicted of Possession of Indecent Images of Children and Accessing Child Pornography. Diaz will be sentenced on 18 February 2022.

Superintendent Peter Lansdown says, “Although the police are satisfied with the court result, uncovering this type of behaviour in the community is concerning. Not only is taking part in this type of activity incredibly disturbing, simply accessing and viewing indecent images of children can encourage the abusers to continue their vile behaviour”.

“It is illegal to possess or download any indecent images of children, and is taken very seriously by the police and the courts.  If persons have any information about this type of activity within the community please contact the police via 911”.
