UPDATE:

The road way between Crewe Road and the Red Bay Dock on South Sound has now been re-opened.

The RCIPS continue to encourage the public to stay safe and exercise caution during the storm like conditions.

Due to flooding and debris on the roadway in the vicinity of the Red Bay Dock (dock located on South Sound), South Sound Road, between Crewe Road and the Red Bay Dock will be closed to the public at this time. Motorists will be diverted to through Crewe Road and Walker’s Road in George Town. The public is being asked to avoid this area until further notice.

The RCIPS is encouraging everyone to avoid traversing the roadways until an all clear has been given. We thank the public for their support and cooperation.
