Cayman: Robbery in George Town

Shortly before 4:30AM today, 22 April, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store on Eastern Avenue, north of School Road. It was reported that a man had entered the store, brandished a handgun at a staff member and demanded cash. The man then made off on foot with a quantity of cash. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as about 6′ tall, with a slim build, and was wearing a long sleeved shirt, black pants, black shoes, gloves, and had his face covered.
The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
