From RCIPS

Shortly after 6:00PM yesterday, 9 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery at an apartment complex on West Bay Road. A woman had attended the location to conduct a delivery when she was approached by a male who threatened her, struck her in the face, and robbed her of cash and personal items. Other persons at the location noticed the altercation and approached to offer assistance, at which point the culprit fled the scene on foot, towards West Bay Road. Emergency services attended the location and the woman was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and subsequently discharged.

The suspect is described as being about 5’10” tall, of slim build and light complexion, with curly hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and black pants.

The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
