Shortly before 1:00AM on Monday, 30 December, officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Queens Highway in East End. A white Kia Rio had been travelling westbound when it left the roadway and collided with some vegetation and a garbage crate, before coming to rest in vegetation on the roadside.

Emergency Services attended the scene and the sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. He remains in critical but stable condition.
