Shortly before 12:40AM today, 22 July, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Bodden Town Road, in the vicinity of Anton Bodden Drive. A silver Honda Civic had been travelling westbound when it left the roadway and collided with a concrete garbage receptacle on the roadside, receiving extensive damage.

Emergency services attended the scene and the driver was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for serious injuries. He remains in hospital serious but stable condition.

The matter is currently under investigation.
