Cayman: Sudden death (Water Related) in South Sound – UPDATED woman named

Police can now confirm the identity of the woman who died on 4 June, after having been found unresponsive in a pool at an address on South Sound Road. She is 29-year-old Sheillah Muhonja Otando, a Kenyan national living in Cayman.
The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family of the deceased.
June 5 2020
Just before 4:30PM on Wednesday, 5 June, police and other emergency services were dispatched to an address on South Sound Road, where it was reported that a woman was found unresponsive in a pool at the location. She was removed from the water and residents at the location commenced CPR, until the ambulance arrived and EMTs took over medical assistance.
The woman was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment and was placed in the Critical Care Unit where she was said to have been in serious and life- threatening condition.
Just before 8:30PM yesterday, police were informed that the 29-year-old-woman, a resident of George Town, had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
