Cayman: Temporary Maritime Restricted Zone established by Cayman Islands Coast Guard – Fri & Sat (2/3 Dec 9am – 2:30pm)
Grand Cayman, 28 November 2022 – The Commandant of the Cayman Islands Coast Guard (CICG), acting in accordance with the authority granted to him under Section 8 (2) of the Cayman Islands Coast Guard Act (2021), and with knowledge and approval of His Excellency The Governor of the Cayman Islands, will be establishing a Temporary Maritime Restriction Zone between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM on Friday 2 December and again on Saturday 3 December 2022.
The implementation of a Temporary Maritime Restriction Zone (TMRZ) will mean that no unauthorized vessel, of any type, or description, will permitted to be within the restricted zone between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM on 2 & 3 December 2022.
The TMRZ will be established between, the areas labeled North (A), located at Heritage Club) and South (A), located on the beach area just to the north Governors House. The zone will then extend outward, for half a mile (½ a Mile) to North (B) and South (B), with a distance between North (B) and South (B) of approximately 1.2 miles.
