Anna Kournikova is the biggest name to confirm participation in the Cayman Islands’ 2016 instalment of Legends Tennis.

The tournament, which serves off on February 5, will also feature Andy Roddick, Ashley Harkleroad, Jim Courier, Mansour Bahrami and Mark Philippoussis.

The two-day tourney includes men’s singles, mixed doubles, and men’s doubles categories.

Kournikova says she is excited by her return to the courts at Caymana Bay.

“It’s a great feeling for me to be able to come back and help to promote the game of tennis and encourage children to be healthy and active,” said Kournikova.

Philippoussis, who has also played in the tournament before, was also excited by the prospects.

Roddick, the last time he was in the island, became enthralled with the beauty of the surroundings.

“I am really looking forward to year two of Legends, Grand Cayman. The beautiful island, warm weather, and amazing hospitality combine for an incredible event, and a personal favourite on my calendar each year,” he said.

Courier, who has won the tournament, voiced similar sentiments to his fellow stars.

Tickets for the February event have already begun to be sold at the Discovery Centre in Caymana Bay.
