Cayman: Tony’s Toys celebrates anniversary with a car show
Cars and Coca-Cola will be on tap at Tony’s Toys this weekend as the automotive centre hosts ‘Octane & Caffeine’, a car show for the entire family, on Sunday, 1 September from 2pm to 6pm at Tony’s Toys Automotive Center, located at 91 Sherwood Drive off Seymour Drive in Industrial Park. The event is part of Tony’s Toys yearlong 20th anniversary celebrations and is free to the public.
At least 60 vehicles – including cars, trucks and motorcycles – are expected to be on display, including some vintage models which are rarely seen on Cayman’s roads but will be brought out for the occasion. Tony’s Toys last car show in 2014 drew thousands of car enthusiasts and curious spectators and the majority of vehicles were entered to be judged in one of 11 categories. This time around however, Tony’s Toys owner Tony Williams says the purpose of the event is different.
“Octane & Caffeine is all about mingling and connecting over a shared interest in cars. There is no competition, just food, drink, music and family-friendly fun. At Tony’s Toys, cars are our passion, and we felt we couldn’t have a true celebration of our 20th anniversary without indulging that passion and inviting other motorheads to share their love of cars with us,” said Mr. Williams.
Tony’s Toys has partnered with Tortuga Rum Company who will be providing Coke products, patties and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Island Heritage Insurance and Fidelity Bank will also be on site providing information on insurance and financing respectively. Complimentary valet parking will be available for attendees.
