Traffic Advisory for Guardians Alive 10K, 1 September
Guardians Alive will be hosting a 10K Run on Sunday, 1 September, at 6:00AM, beginning and ending at the Seven Mile Public Beach. Participants will travel east on West Bay Road to the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, and continue south along Esterley Tibbetts to the Island Heritage roundabout, then turn around and proceed north along Esterley Tibbetts to the roundabout north of the Yacht Club roundabout, then turn around and return to Public Beach. The event is expected to finish at 7:00AM
There will be no road closures, however motorists are advised to exercise caution if travelling in these areas on Saturday morning.
Road Closure for Penha Privilege Launch Party, 31 August
On Saturday, 31 August, Cardinall Avenue will be closed between Edward Street and Albert Panton Street, from 10:00AM to 9:00PM, to facilitate the Penha Privilege Launch Party. Traffic entering Cardinall Avenue from Harbour Drive will be diverted left onto Albert Panton Street during this time.
Traffic Advisory for CIIPA Charity Run Walk, 31 August
The Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants is hosting a charity run walk to raise funds for theYMCA on Saturday, 31 August. The event begins at 6:00AM at KPMG in Cricket Square on Elgin Avenue. Participants will travel east on Elgin Avenue, south onto Huldah Avenue, then west on Smith road, south on Walkers Road, west onto Memorial Avenue, north on South Church Street and travel to Fort Street, before returning to KPMG via Edward Street and Elgin Avenue. The event is expected to conclude at 8:30AM.
Elgin Avenue will be closed between Cricket Square and Huldah Avenue for the beginning of the race at 6:00AM. There will be no other road closures, however motorists are advised to exercise caution if travelling in these areas on Saturday morning.
