UPDATE: Portions of the roadway have now been re-opened, with the junctions at Boilers Road and Mary Street now open to traffic. However, Harbour Drive remains closed between Cardinall Avenue and Fort Street.

The re-opening will continue in sections, as crews clear debris from the roadway.

Further traffic diversions may become necessary depending on changes in marine conditions. The RCIPS will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the day, and will advise of any additional diversions.

UPDATE: Due to continued wave activity and the presence of debris on the roadway, Harbour Drive and North Church Street remain closed between Boilers Road and Mary Street (see further info below). Persons travelling in the area are advised to take an alternate route. 

A further update will follow once the roadway has been cleared and re-opened.
