The RCIPS is advising the public of the following road closures and diversions taking place to facilitate the Lying in State and Funeral Service for the late Benson O. Ebanks, taking place Thursday, 7 April, and Friday, 8 April, respectively.

On Thursday, 7 April, Fort Street will be closed between Albert Panton Street and Edward Street from 9:00AM to 10:05AM, and again from 1:45PM to 2:40PM.

On Friday, 8 April, West Church Street will be closed between West Bay Road and Elizabeth Street from 11:30AM to 5:00PM.

West Bay Road will then be closed between Cemetery Road and Ernest Jackson Drive, between 5:00pm and 5:30PM.

In addition, the procession will be travelling from Bodden’s Funeral Home to the house of Parliament on Thursday morning. On Friday morning the procession will travel from the House of Parliament to the John Gray Memorial Church in West Bay, then travel through West Bay before returning to Bodden’s Funeral Home in the afternoon.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution when travelling in the vicinity of the active road closures, or the procession.
