Cayman Turtle Centre announces seasonal changes

Cayman Turtle Centre is pleased to announce new seasonal hours beginning this week. The Centre will remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to the public, however private group bookings including corporate and luxury tours are available. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the Centre will be open to the public from 10 am to 2pm. Guests can enjoy a full day at the island’s largest swimming pool and water slide on the weekend, as the Centre is open from 8 am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

“These temporary change in hours coincide with the majority of the school schedules. We have some exciting developments launching soon with our new food trailer and with a new menu in Turtle Nest Café and Coffee Shop.” Ms. Renee Howell, Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, said.

“Locals will be able to enjoy Happy Hour and have a new favourite place to get breakfast, stop by for lunch, or pick up dinner on the way home. Our new food trailer was a huge success at our recent shopping night and through community request, we are planning to open this daily, Monday to Friday, soon. The best feature is most of the items offered at the food trailer are only $5!”

The changes are part of Cayman Turtle Centre’s plethora of new offerings, designed to entice and better serve the local market.

“We have had to look at our current audience and adjust our sails, so to speak.” Mr. Raymond Hydes, Chief Tours and Customer Experience Officer, said.

“We are offering new product lines and services to meet the needs of our local audience. We feel like they will enjoy Happy Hours on Friday nights with amazing fish fry and live music – who wouldn’t enjoy that? Plus, we have a whole calendar of entertaining, family friendly events lined up between now and the end of the year. I encourage everyone to follow our social media channels for more details and updates as they are announced.”

The Centre also will be making some exciting product line changes, including enhancing the snorkel experience.

“We will temporarily be closing the snorkeling experience so that we can add a new sensory element to this for our guests. The new feature will take a couple of months for us to implement into the saltwater lagoon, and we have plans to unveil this at the beginning of the year with a grand celebration. Everyone can still enjoy the pool, water slide and don’t forget all the other features we have to offer, including the Touch Tanks and the Blue Hole Nature Trail and Butterfly House and Aviary exhibits. There’s so much to explore here, most people just don’t make it through all of it in one day and really experience it all.” Mr. Hydes added.

Upcoming events at Cayman Turtle Centre’s include Splash Happy Hour and Shopping Night on Tuesday 3rd November and a Pirate themed Family Fun Day on Saturday 7th November. For more information on the Centre and its upcoming events and promotions, visit www.turtle.ky or call 949-3894.
