Cayman: UCCI Professor Dr. J.D Mosley-Matchett wins IACBE-Peregrine Leadership Best Paper Award
University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) is honored to announce that professor Dr. J.D Mosley-Matchett recently won the IACBE – Peregrine Leadership Best Paper Award for 2020 at the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) Virtual Conference on 2 April 2020.
Dr. Mosely-Matchett was recognized by the conference for her paper “Meeting the Diverse Challenges of Educating Today’s Business Students.” Sponsorship of her award includes attendance at a two-day workshop conducted in Gillette Wyoming with a $1,500 travel reimbursement stipend.
“It is humbling to know that educators all over the world are struggling with the same desire to improve education accessibility for their students,” Dr. Mosley-Matchett said. “Accessibility isn’t simply something we do to accommodate students with physical challenges, it’s what we must do for every student regardless of the many challenges that they all face: time challenges, financial challenges, family challenges. When educators make knowledge accessible, it becomes more useful for everyone.”
Dr. Mosley-Matchett has a strong record of accomplishment and leadership in the field of education. She joined the UCCI faculty in 2009 and has served as dean and director of graduate studies and professional development. She has been instrumental as part of UCCI’s Strategic Planning Steering Team and in leading accreditation efforts. Her work is supported by the qualifications of a PhD in business administration, in addition to degrees in law and engineering.
UCCI is proud of all Dr. Mosley-Matchett’s recognition and congratulates her for the well-deserved award.
