Cayman: ‘United Civil Service’ Wreath Laying Ceremony
On Wednesday 13 September, His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Martyn Roper; the Premier, Hon. G. Wayne Panton; Deputy Governor, Hon. Franz Manderson, and Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Samuel Rose, joined civil servants in a ‘United Civil Service’ wreath-laying ceremony on the front steps of the Government Administration Building in tribute to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Cayman, like other countries around the world, has joined the UK with an outpouring of floral tributes. Members of our community are invited to lay flowers at the Government Administration Building or outside Government House.
Throughout this week of National Mourning, individual agencies from across the Civil Service and the wider Public Service will continue to visit and lay flowers on the front steps of the Government Administration in tribute to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Floral tributes can be left on the steps of the Government Administration Building and the front gates of Government House. The public should note that once flowers wither they will be removed.
Condolence books are also open for members of the public to sign at the Government Administration Building on Grand Cayman and at District Administration on Cayman Brac.
