Cayman: Update: Man arrested in relation to George Town robbery

Update (22 October):
A man, age 30 of West Bay, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm, in relation to the robbery incident which occurred on Tuesday, 20 October, on Eastern Avenue (see below initial release). He remains in custody as investigations continue.
Initial Release (20 October):
Shortly after 10:00AM today, 20 October, officers responded to a report of an incident on Eastern Avenue, in the vicinity of Shedden Road, where a man was approached by another man who brandished an object appearing to be a firearm and robbed him of cash and personal items, before making off on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
The matter is under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information is asked to contactGeorge Town CID at 949-4222.
