Update: Second Man Arrested & Charged in Relation to Biking Incident, 9 April
A second man, age 32 of George Town, was arrested on Tuesday, 7 April, in relation to the below incident. He has been formally charged with Breach of Curfew, Dangerous Driving, Using an Unregistered Vehicle, Driving Without Insurance, and Using a Vehicle Without a Certificate of Roadworthiness. He appeared in court this morning, 9 April, and was bailed until 23 April

Man Charged for Breach of Curfew, Dangerous Driving, and Other Offenses
On Saturday afternoon, 4 April, officers responded to a report received from members of the public that several persons were out and about riding motorbikes in breach of curfew in the Lookout Gardens area of Bodden Town. Officers observed a group of persons who sped off at high speed on motorbikes. The police helicopter followed two of the riders, one of whom abandoned a motorcycle in George Town and fled on foot. Officers later seized this motorcycle.
The other rider continued into the Newlands area, driving in a dangerous and reckless manner. Officers intercepted the rider, with the assistance of the police helicopter, and seized his motorcycle. The rider, a man age 23 of Bodden Town, was arrested on suspicion of breaching curfew, dangerous driving, and several other traffic offenses.
A woman, age 23 of Bodden Town, was also arrested on suspicion of breach of curfew and obstructing police in relation to the incident. The woman has been granted bail pending further investigation.
The man has been formally charged with Breach of Curfew, Dangerous Driving, Resisting Arrest, Using an Unregistered Vehicle, and Using a Vehicle Without a Certificate of Roadworthiness. He appears in court tomorrow morning, 7 April, via video link.
