Cayman: Vehicle owners urged to switch temporary plates this month [January]

Grand Cayman – The Department of Vehicle and Drivers’ Licensing (DVDL) is urging motor vehicle owners with temporary licence plates to switch them for permanent plates during the month of January.
All temporary plates will cease to be legal end of May.
To facilitate ‘Switch-A-Plate’ customers, the DVDL’s Crewe Road location will open on the following days, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Customers are reminded that failure to replace temporary plates is a criminal offence with a fine of $2,500 or up to six months imprisonment, or both.
