Cayman: Water-Related Death- UPDATED

Update (4 May):
Police can now confirm the identity of the man who was pronounced deceased after experiencing difficulties in the water at Smith Cove on Saturday, 30 April. He is 75-year-old Eldon Leroy Nixon, of George Town.
The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family of the deceased.
Initial Release (1 May):
Yesterday, Saturday 30 April, shortly after 3:00PM, emergency services were dispatched to a report of a person in distress at Smiths Cove, George Town.
A man had been swimming in the water when he experienced difficulties and became unresponsive. He was brought back to shore by persons on the scene.
Emergency services attended the man and he was transported to George Town Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
The man was 75 years old from George Town.
