Cayman: West Bay Disruption Patrols Result in an Arrest and Recovery of a Stolen Motor Bike

From RCIPS

This week, on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th February, West Bay units carried out disruption patrols targeting key areas across the district.

A search of a property resulted in the recovery of a stolen motorbike that had previously been reported to the police, and was subsequently returned to the grateful owner.

At Seven Mile Public Beach, officers on foot patrol had reason to search a 20 year old male, of West Bay, who was subsequently arrested for Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, Possession of Ganja and Possession of utensil.  Meanwhile, in the Public Beach carpark, two tickets were issued for failure to comply with traffic sign or signal, with a further two tickets issued for parking in disabled parking spaces.

Officers carried out high visibility patrols at known hotspot areas within Birch Tree Hill, Boatswain Bay, Mary Mollie Hydes Rd and King Road. The police thank West Bay community members for supporting their efforts by voicing their concerns to officers to help inform ongoing patrol strategies.
