Cayman Drama Society 2023 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT!

You may already know about The Memory Of Water, considering we have held the auditions and cast it already…and you may have been hoping to see a Christmas Shows next holiday season BUT did you know we are also putting on Blood Brothers the musical (by Willy Russel), and The Mousetrap (Agatha Christie)???

We are thrilled at how next year is looking and think we have a great lineup for you*.

Audition announcement for Blood Brothers is coming soon (auditions will be held mid-late Jan).

CDS Productions are staged, performed, and run by volunteers and therefore the season is subject to change (though this is very rarely the case).*

CAYSTAGE CLASSES ON SALE FOR 2023!

TERM 2: 13 week SKILLS TERM Jan 3rd – 6th April (OFF Feb break 20-24th)

Our fees are pro-rated for the length of term but work out at approx. 16/week for ages 7-9s, 17/week for 10-12s, 19/week for ages 12-15s/15-18s and 21/week for adults classes.*Please note that some of the classes have deliberate age crossovers so that you can decide where to best place your child in terms of maturity and taken into consideration which school system they follow and what year they are in within that.*

TUESDAY

Acting for age 10-12 yrs 4.00-5.30pm
**This class moves into exploration of character, improvisation and devising their own pieces. This is a key age for development and therefore we place a strong focus on the creative process and everyone getting to input ideas with whatever we work on.**

WEDNESDAY

Acting for age 7-9 yrs 3.30-4.50pm *SOLD OUT*
**This class moves into exploration of character, improvisation and devising their own pieces. This is a key age for development and therefore we place a strong focus on the creative process and everyone getting to input ideas with whatever we work on. We work with a slightly smaller group, and younger content than our other classes, whilst building on the same skill set.**

Acting for age 12-15 yrs 5.00-6.30pm
**By this age all the core skills from the other age groups will be covered, along with script work and the option to try directing other scenes with guidance. On occasion, this class will choose their own pieces and this can include both classical and modern texts.**

Adult Actors Training: 7-9pm*

*This class is for all levels of experience. It is tailored to the groups needs but will likely include in depth scene studies, character work and
improvisation/devising skills along with acting theory and techniques. There may be the option of selecting your own pieces at points, should the group choosethis.**

THURSDAYActing for age 15-18s 4.30-6pm
**By this age all the core skills from the other age groups will be covered, along with script work and the option to try directing other scenes with guidance. On occasion, this class will choose their own pieces and this can include both classical and modern texts.*

Thu 7.30-9pm (5/1, 12/1, 19/1, 26/1 2/2, 9/2, 16/2) then Wed
7-9pm (8/3, 15/3, 22/3, 29/3, 5/4) Plus Tue 21st Feb attend dress rehearsal and Thu 2nd March come to show!
This class will run through from January with some Wednesday classes, where the Directors will work with acting students to learn drama exercises/warm-ups, and how to direct them in scene studies, and some Thursday classes observing/discussing show rehearsals for one of our main stage productions to learn the process from page to stage. (SMALL COURSE ONLY – 8 students)
