Beijing, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) China and Caribbean countries on Thursday defended the stance in favor of a peaceful solution to the situation in Venezuela that involves the people and the Government of that country and is free of foreign interferences.
After the 7th round of consultation between the two parties, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his counterparts Francine Baron (Dominica) and Jerome Walcott (Barbados), and they insisted on that option against the interventionist threats by the United States.

The Chinese foreign minister repeated that Venezuela’s internal affairs only concern its citizens, and China defends the respect for international standards on that principle.

‘We will promote the peaceful solution of the problem, the safeguard of stability and the development of the country by holding talks and consultations in the framework of the Constitution,’ Wang noted.

The Caribbean foreign ministers, in turn, assured that they share the same stance and are willing to join forces with China to convince all stakeholders to sit at the negotiation table.
