Christmas Day power outage causes cooking panic in Grand Cayman
When the power went out on Christmas Day at around 9am all over Grand Cayman there was panic from the hundreds of wives and girlfriends who were busy in the kitchen.
Thoughts and cries of spoilt Christmas meals were rampant and CUC were flooded with calls.
Thankfully power was restored to all areas affected that ranged from parts of George Town to Bodden Town in just under two hours. The meals were OK, just a bit late.
A CUC spokesperson said their crews worked diligently on the problem that appeared to be a generator loss that causes outages to pockets of customers around the Island.
A full investigation is under way, the official said and more details will be issued on Friday.
