On June 25th and June 27th the National Women’s Football team took to the field in two international friendly matches against Cagliari Miami Strike Force F.C. Cayman drew one-all during the first match and won the second game1-0 against the visiting Miami team.
CONCACAF U-15 Boys Development Tournament
Our national Under-15 boy’s team will get the opportunity to compete on home soil during the inaugural CONCACAF Under-15 Boys Development Tournament.
Besides the Cayman Islands, participating U-15 teams include Aruba, Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Martin, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago and the US Virgin Islands.
Our team has been training tirelessly and we have scheduled a number of friendly matches leading up to the tournament to give our team added exposure, and we encourage you to go out to the scheduled matches and support our Cayman boys.
Grassroots Initiative Update
The Maples Grassroots Programme is a football development programme, sponsored by Maples and Calder and is based on FIFA’s acclaimed Grassroots Programme. The initiative targets boys and girls from four to twelve years of age.
The programme seeks to encourage as many youngsters as possible to get actively involved in football and endeavours to educate and instill the values of the game in the youth.
The main purpose of the Maples Grassroots Programme is to maximize young players’ development to eventually compete in the CUC Primary Football League and CIFA Youth Leagues.
The programme runs throughout the year and comprises of weekly training sessions across select districts on the island.

2013 CIFA Awards Ceremony
On Saturday, June 8 2013, CIFA held the 2013 men’s and women’s football league awards at the Grand Cayman Marriott. The ceremony was attended by over 450 persons. To see the list of winners please see attachments.
