Clifton Hunter Celebrates Caymanian Heritage
The Clifton Hunter High School held their first Heritage Day on November 16th, 2012. The students and staff celebrated all things “Caymanian” including thatch making, racing soldier crabs, and enjoying traditional Caymanian food and music.
Many volunteers from the eastern communities took part, bringing with them traditional Caymanian crafts to show and teach the students.
The Cayman Islands National Archive, Cayman Islands Museum, National Gallery, Swanky Kitchen Band and other local artists and organisations also took part in the day, making it a wonderful celebration for all.
Attached are some pictures of the day.
