CONCACAF Executive Committee to meet this week In the Cayman Islands

Jeffrey Webb, FIFA Vice President and President of the Confederation of North Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), will be hosting a CONCACAF executive committee meeting and strategic retreat July 12-15 on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.The purpose of the gathering is to focus on the objectives, vision, structure, and governance of CONCACAF, with emphasis on financial planning, competitions, development and branding.
“This occasion is not only important in the history of football in the Cayman Islands, but it is also important in the history of CONCACAF,” stated Webb, who was elected CONCACAF President on May 23. “This will mark a turning point for CONCACAF, as we will, over the next few days, analyze every aspect of the confederation, with the aim of creating a business plan.
“We will be reviewing everything from the structure to the finances of CONCACAF. Our aim is to ensure that CONCACAF is properly positioned as a major sporting organization to serve and complement its member associations and to develop football throughout the region.”
In addition to the meeting, HE The Governor, Duncan Taylor, will host the CONCACAF executive committee members at a reception at the Governor’s House on July 12, while the Cayman Islands Football Association will host a gala dinner the following day at the Ritz-Carlton in honor of Webb’s election to the Vice Presidency of FIFA and the Presidency of CONCACAF.
CONCACAF “The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football” is one of six continental confederations of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and serves as the governing body of football in this part of the world.
