Congrats to DVITP Graduates
Ten graduates recently received certificates upon completing the Domestic Violence Intervention Training Programme (DVITP).
Drawn from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS), Department of Community Rehabilitation, Priestley’s Attorneys-At-Law, the Health Services Association (HSA) and several Seventh Day Adventist Churches, the latest group of participants, were recognised for demonstrating high levels of commitment, increased knowledge and success in their work.
The three, full-day sessions were offered by the Department of Counselling Services’ Family Resource Centre (FRC).
DVITP provides sensitivity training for professionals who interact with victims of domestic violence. The programme also educates persons about domestic violence and the surrounding issues, while providing them with appropriate responses, to end the cycle of violence.
