Neglected tropical diseases: PAHO calls for an end to delays in treatment in the Americas

PAHO launches campaign on the importance of newborn care during the first 28 days of life
In Latin America and the Caribbean, 255 babies age less than one-month die each day. The “28 Days, Time to Care and Love” campaign seeks to increase the skills and self-confidence of parents and caregivers, and raise awareness among health professionals of the importance of good care practices to reduce neonatal mortality.
