The 172nd Session of the Executive Committee ended following discussions on a variety of public health topics, including pandemic response, vaccination coverage, human resources for health, mental health, and suicide prevention.

The World Health Organization has certified Belize as malaria-free, following the country’s more than 70 years of continued efforts to stamp out the disease.

Suriname: PAHO evaluates National Immunization Program through field assessment activities
PAHO and Ministry of Health staff members conducted site visits to 20 clinics. Feasible working plans will be developed to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
