Over two pounds of vegetable matter resembling ganja, and two cellphones were discovered on the perimeter of HM Prison Northward yesterday (Tuesday, 26 February).

The items were found before 8am Tuesday (26) morning by officers conducting inspections of the exterior perimeter of the prison. This occurred before the time when some prisoners are allowed out to work around the prison perimeter and farm.

The suspected drugs were handed over to the Royal Cayman Islands Police for further investigations.
