Conyers’ Paul Smith joins Cayman Islands office

Paul_SmithConyers Dill & Pearman is pleased to announce that Paul Smith has relocated to the Firm’s Cayman Islands office to further support its robust litigation practice.

Paul, a senior addition to the Cayman litigation team, brings with him over 30 years of dispute resolution experience, including 13 years as a prominent litigator in the Firm’s Bermuda office. Specialising in commercial litigation, trust litigation, arbitration, and insurance and reinsurance, Paul is internationally recognised for his expertise. Prior to joining Conyers in 2000, Paul practised at the Commercial Bar in London, UK.

“We are pleased to welcome Paul to our litigation practice,” said Nigel Meeson QC, Head of Conyers’ Cayman Islands Litigation & Insolvency department. “With his depth of knowledge and ability to provide practical, high-quality advice, Paul will be a valuable resource for our clients seeking expert counsel in a wide variety of litigation and trust litigation matters.”

With the addition of Paul, the Cayman office continues to grow its trust litigation practice. Earlier this year, the office welcomed Raymond Davern, who relocated to lead the Private Client & Trust practice for both the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands offices. The two join Nigel Meeson QC and Linda DaCosta, who round out this highly regarded trust litigation team.
