Coutts names new head of marketing, UK Business Development
Coutts, the UK-headquartered private bank, has appointed Sarah Wyse to the newly-created role of managing director, head of marketing and UK business development.
Based in London, Wyse will report dually to Michael Morley, chief executive, and Ian Ewart, head of products, services and marketing.
Wyse joined Coutts two years ago as a consultant, leading on the project to establish a single contemporary brand for the firm. Prior to joining Coutts, she served at EMAP, after which she joined Forward Publishing where she built client relationships with a number of businesses, including Tesco and Barclays. In her new role, to support UK business development, Wyse will focus on building new business through best-in-class collaborations with prospects, intermediaries and the wider RBS Group, a statement said. Within her marketing remit, Wyse will be responsible for directing all activity worldwide to ensure Coutts’ business strategy is closely aligned with marketing to enable it to be most effective.
In other recent hires at the firm, last month Coutts appointed Layla Fear as a wealth manager in its Birmingham office. Fear is responsible for developing new business across the Midlands, and she reports to director Miles Plumb.
