CTEX receives prestigious DatacenterDynamics LATAM 2012 Award
The prestigious DatacenterDynamics organization has long been recognized for its knowledge sharing, reporting on major advancements in the industry and recognizing key advancements in the data center sector around the world. Every year, the DatacenterDynamics organization issues an award to data center providers in 6 major categories.
More than 50 major projects were evaluated throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Over 300 professionals were interviewed and attended last night’s event held in Mexico City. The CTEX team received the prestigious award ahead of many established competitors across Latin America and the Caribbean for its innovation and futuristic design.
CTEX is building four TIER-IV and LEED certified data centers (each being 5,600 square meters) and internet exchange points from which co-location, Cloud, security and managed services will be delivered to enterprise, government, and institutional customers in the Caribbean and Latin America. The company is deploying the latest data center technologies to support high-density Cloud computing infrastructures. CTEX’s Tier-IV datacenters are being built on the island of Curaçao which is located safely outside the traditional hurricane belt and major seismic zones, in a politically neutral jurisdiction and part of the Dutch Kingdom. The first of four facilities will enter production in the second quarter of 2013.
The CTEX Tier-IV design incorporates the latest energy, security and building management techniques together with a state of the art power distribution grid leveraging lessons learned from data centers around the world. Each facility incorporates three methods of cooling and energy management in three distinct pods, thereby addressing operating requirements of traditional and high-density cloud infrastructures. CTEX offers customers a 100% uptime SLA for all data center services.
